SolarSense Named a Finalist in Prestigious National Solar & Storage Live Awards
SolarSense has been shortlisted for Contractor of the Year at the Solar & Storage Live Awards 2026, marking the company’s second major national awards recognition in quick succession.
The announcement follows the recent news that SolarSense and Freedom Leisure have been named finalists for Renewable Energy Project of the Year at the edie Energy & Tech Awards 2026. The nominations recognise the quality of SolarSense’s project delivery as well as the expertise, care and commitment demonstrated by the team across the UK.
Over the past 30 years, SolarSense has delivered more than 15,500 renewable energy installations. During that time, the company has developed long-standing relationships with organisations including Renishaw, the RSPB, The Crown Estate, Freedom Leisure and Worthy Farm, many of which have developed into repeat partnerships.
The Solar & Storage Live Awards celebrate the organisations, individuals, technologies and projects making a significant contribution to the UK’s transition to clean energy. SolarSense is one of eight businesses shortlisted for Contractor of the Year following an assessment by an independent panel of industry judges.
The nomination reflects SolarSense’s continued growth as a national renewable energy partner, delivering solar PV, battery storage, solar carport and ongoing maintenance solutions for businesses, farms, public-sector organisations, charities and homeowners.
It also marks a return to a category SolarSense previously won in four years ago, when the company was named Contractor of the Year by judges of the Solar & Storage Live Awards 2022.

Stephen received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Solar & Storage Live Awards 2025, recognising more than three decades of leadership, innovation and commitment to making clean energy accessible to businesses, communities and charities.
The winners of the Solar & Storage Live Awards 2026 will be announced at The Vox, Resorts World Birmingham, on 22 September 2026. The ceremony takes place alongside Solar & Storage Live UK, which brings together professionals and organisations from across the solar and energy storage industries.
