Green Homes Grant extended until March 2022

CLEAN ENERGY GRANTS FOR HOMES

Green Homes Grant

The Green Homes Grant has been extended until March 2022. A growing number of our customers have already benefited from the scheme if you’re interested in switching your home to clean energy please get in touch.

If you’re a homeowner or residential landlord, you can apply for a green homes voucher towards the cost of installing energy efficient improvements to your home. Renewable energy technologies covered by the grant include; heat pumps and solar thermal systems. You must ensure your system is installed before 31 March 2022.

Vouchers will cover two-thirds of the cost of eligible improvements, up to a maximum government contribution of £5,000. If you, or someone in your household, receive certain benefits you may be eligible for a voucher covering 100% of the cost of the improvements. The maximum value of the voucher is £10,000. Check if you’re eligible for the low income support scheme.

What can the Green Homes Grant be used for?

The Green Homes Grant voucher covers the labour, materials and VAT for you to make energy improvements to your home. This includes low carbon heating technologies such as heat pumps and solar thermal. For a full list of what is included, please see the Government guidance.

If you are unsure as to which clean energy technology would suit your home, our experts have covered a number of frequent questions for solar thermal systems for homes and heat pumps for homes. Alternatively please feel free to get in touch and one of our team will be more than happy to discuss your options.

Working during lockdown 3.0

Green Homes Grant installers can continue to work in people’s homes during the national lockdown. You can therefore still apply for your grant and get the work done during any time before March 2022, provided you are happy for us to work in your home.

All of our employees are taking the necessary precautions to protect you, the NHS and themselves from any harm. Our installation teams will adhere to all of the guidelines set out by the Government to ensure a safe working environment and will maintain a safe distance where possible.
