SolarSense has appointed Adrian Thomas as its new Director of Sales & Marketing, strengthening the company’s senior team as it continues to expand its presence across the UK.
Adrian brings decades of experience in the UK solar PV industry, with a strong track record in business growth, commercial solar projects and market development. In his new role, he will lead SolarSense’s sales and marketing team, with a particular focus on supporting the company’s growth across the North West of England. As part of this next phase, he will also head up the new SolarSense North West regional office in Manchester.
This news follows a period of significant momentum for SolarSense, including the appointment of Russell Mees as Managing Director earlier this year, alongside a commitment to achieving 20% year-on-year growth through to 2030.
Adrian’s appointment will help SolarSense build on its established reputation as one of the UK’s most experienced renewable energy partners. On joining the company, Adrian said:
“SolarSense has a rich history in the UK solar industry, and I’m delighted to be joining the business at such an important time in its journey. The opportunity for solar has never been greater, as organisations look for practical, proven ways to reduce energy costs, cut carbon and build long-term resilience.
“I’m excited to be working with such an experienced team and to play a part in the company’s next stage of growth, particularly as we expand our presence across the UK.”
Russell Mees, Managing Director at SolarSense, said:
“We’re really pleased to welcome Adrian to SolarSense. He brings a depth of experience and sector knowledge that will be invaluable as we continue to scale the business and support more organisations across the UK.
“Adrian will be an important figurehead for our growth nationally, including in the North West, where we see significant opportunity. His appointment strengthens our senior team and reflects our ambition to build on our long-standing position in the market.”
Adrian will be representing SolarSense at the Green Goals 2026 Conference at Manchester Conference Centre on Thursday 2 July. The event will bring together leaders from across sport, leisure, health, local government, planning, the environment and the private sector to explore how sustainability can be embedded into places, communities and infrastructure.
His appearance at the conference marks an early opportunity to introduce SolarSense’s growing presence in the region and continue conversations with organisations looking to take meaningful action on energy, sustainability and long-term carbon reduction. Registration for the Green Goals Conference is available here.
