Job Overview

SolarSense is seeking a highly organised and proactive Renewable Energy Project Coordinator to support the delivery of domestic solar PV and battery storage installations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a STEM graduate or an individual with strong organisational skills who is looking to build a career in the renewable energy sector. Previous solar industry experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working closely with customers, installers, suppliers and network operators, you will coordinate projects from order through to completion, ensuring installations are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to an excellent standard.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic solar PV and battery storage projects from order through to completion.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Schedule installation teams and coordinate project dates.
  • Arrange scaffolding, deliveries and other third-party services.
  • Order materials and equipment from approved suppliers.
  • Monitor warehouse stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Prepare and submit DNO applications and associated documentation.
  • Support compliance with MCS and other industry requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers, installers and internal teams to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
  • Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

 
Requirements

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

We are looking for a Sales Support Executive. To provide professional and efficient support to the SolarSense sales team by managing incoming enquiries, preparing quotations, maintaining CRM accuracy, and assisting in the generation and follow-up of leads.

The role ensures that all prospective customers receive a consistent, timely, and high-quality service from first contact through to order.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales and Lead Management

  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming sales enquiries by phone and email.
  • Qualify leads according to agreed criteria such as property type, system suitability, budget, financial standing and timescales.
  • Log and manage all enquiries through the company’s CRM system, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
  • Allocate leads to the relevant Salesperson and follow up progress where necessary.
  • Support marketing activities by following up on campaign-generated leads and maintaining contact with potential clients.
  • Reach out to potential customers with our CPD training tools.
  • Liaise with the head of marketing about the development of campaigns.

2. Quotation and Proposal Support

  • Prepare and issue professional quotations and proposals using company templates and standard pricing information.
  • Liaise with technical and commercial colleagues to obtain data on system sizes, energy yields, and cost breakdowns.
  • Review all quotations for accuracy, correct formatting, and appropriate commercial terms prior to issue.
  • Manage quotation revisions and ensure customers receive updates promptly.
  • Maintain consistency and version control across all live quotations.

3. Sales Administration

  • Update and track opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring each stage of the sales process is recorded accurately.
  • Produce regular sales activity and pipeline reports for management review.
  • Support tender or framework submissions by coordinating documentation and assisting with pre-qualification requirements.
  • Manage the electronic filing and organisation of sales-related documentation.
  • Prepare and send brochures, datasheets, and company information packs as required.

4. Customer Communication

  • Provide professional, courteous, and timely responses to customer queries.
  • Schedule site visits or video meetings for Sales Engineers as needed.
  • Conduct follow-up calls or emails to gauge client feedback and maintain engagement.
  • Ensure all communication reflects Solarsense’s brand values of quality, integrity, and customer care.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development of internal processes to improve quotation turnaround times and customer response.
  • Maintain familiarity with Solarsense products, technologies, and services.
  • Support the company’s combined quality & environmental management system (ISO 9001 & 14001) through accurate record-keeping and process adherence.


6. Other duties consistent with the role and the needs of the business

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

We are looking for an electrician with experience in renewable energy covering installation and commissioning of Solar PV, EV and Batteries.

Covering small domestic installations to large industrial systems, on a variety of roof types and heights; the perfect candidate should be comfortable getting involved in all aspects of works, from initial site survey to commissioning and certification.

We are recruiting for experienced PV installers to work from our Backwell, North Somerset head office on a mix of domestic and commercial installations predominantly within about 1 hour from Bristol.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of installing solar PV systems on-roof at a range of sites, and will be familiar with a wide range of mounting systems and how to fix and install them. The successful candidate will be able to drive, and a van will be provided. A candidate with ready access to a preferred labourer will be particularly attractive. Possession of health and safety tickets including working at heights, ladder safety, asbestos awareness and manual handling and also a current CSCS card would be beneficial.

Quality & Compliance Support:

  • Ensure records and documentation meet internal quality standards.
