Renewable energy grants and incentives
Clean Energy Grants for homeowners
Climate change is one of the most significant issues facing the world today. The UK Government and a growing number of local authorities have therefore pledged a variety of grants and incentives to aid homeowners to reduce carbon emissions.
As part of our consultative approach, we offer guidance as to what grants are available for your specific region and provide detailed carbon and financial calculations with your free desktop survey to ensure you understand exactly how and when you can expect to break even and your overall benefit for the lifetime of your clean energy system. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a UK Government scheme to encourage more homeowners (and small businesses) in England and Wales to install low carbon heating systems, such as heat pumps. The initiative will be open to properties in England and Wales from May 2022.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme covers low carbon heating systems, offering £5000 for installing air source heat pumps and £6000 for ground source heat pumps. The grant will replace the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and will run from 2022 to 2025.

Green Homes Grant
The government has confirmed that the green homes grant scheme will close early. People who have had their applications accepted for vouchers under the scheme will receive any money owed, but no new applications will be accepted after the end of March 2021.
It is unclear at this stage as to what scheme may be introduced to follow the Green Homes Grant, however, the government has stated that an extra £300m would be directed towards helping people on low-incomes gain access to energy efficiency improvements, through local authorities.
The financial savings of installing clean energy technologies alone will create a healthy return on investment and will pay back all costs over a period of time. Your payback period will depend on a number of factors including the technology being installed. For a free, no obligation quote to see what you could save, contact us.
Feed-in Tariff (FIT) for homes
The Feed-in Tariff for solar panels closed in March 2019. The cost of manufacturing solar panels has plummeted by more than 82% over the past decade and these cost reductions are passed onto homeowners when purchasing their PV system, providing healthy financial returns alongside significant carbon reductions.
New research suggests that installing solar panels can boost house prices by an average of £30,000. It is also worth noting that the ROI from installing solar is likely to be much more than the interest you will gain from your bank.
