Solarsense install solar thermal system for Quarter Hotel

Quarter – Berkeley Suites – Solar Thermal System

Quarter are a community of independent hotels, suites, short lets, cafes, bars, restaurants and creative studios. The organisation is committed to being green and closely monitor their energy consumption through the use of smart meters.

As part of their efforts to reduce their carbon emissions Solarsense installed a modest solar thermal system for the luxury Berkeley Suites – saving 1/2 tonne of CO2 from reaching the atmosphere each year – the equivalent of filling 3 double decker busses.

The system includes 60 Apricus evacuated tubes which heat the water for all five suites. As well as reducing the hotels’ energy usage and bills, the system also generates a modest income from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

System Details

Client: Quarter

Sector: Tourism, Sports & Leisure
