Solarsense install one of the UK’s first solar bike shelters; encouraging staff members to cycle to work 

Solarsense has recently installed one of the UK’s first solar powered bike racks alongside a brand-new shower facility to encourage their staff members to cycle to work.

This innovative travel measure was financed by a match-funded travel grant via the Department for Transport and short-listed for an award at the Travelwest Sustainable Business Awards 2019.

Solarsense has also taken advantage of the Travelwest loan for an electric bike (which is charged via solar power), has a number of puncture repair kits on site and a cycle route map displayed within the office to further encourage sustainable travel.
