NEW – Bristol Solar Map! Check your roof for solar

BCC launch online, interactive map showing the solar potential of buildings in Bristol.

If you live in Bristol, you can now check whether your house is suitable for solar without even stepping outside!

Bristol City Council have just become the first local authority in the UK to produce an interactive solar map on this scale, using colour coding to illustrate the estimated solar generation potential of each building. You can type in your address to see more detailed information such as an estimated system size and associated CO2 savings.

Solarsense were among local installers who helped the council to validate the solar estimates during the development process, and to celebrate the launch of the map we are offering a 5% discount on solar PV installations in Bristol!

The ‘small print’ relating to this offer is as follows:
Any customer with a postcode from within the Bristol City Council area, who places an order with Solarsense for a PV system in March will receive a 5% discount on our standard pricing for any domestic (single phase) system. The offer ends on March 31st 2012. Offer not applicable where an existing discount arrangement applies. Offer does not guarantee installation prior to April 1st 2012.

View the map and check your roof’s solar potential here – just zoom in until you start to see red, yellow and orange buildings!
