LCG complete their first three community roof-top projects.

Solarsense have helped their partners Low Carbon Gordano (LCG) to complete their first three community roof-top projects. The three schemes total 66kW with a 50kWp system at Northleaze School, 10kWp system at Church House, and 6kW at the Clevedon YMCA.

LCG are particularly pleased to have completed their first school project at Northleaze School in Long Ashton (pictured above). The bespoke 50kWp solar PV array is the largest of the three systems and includes an on-line monitoring system so that the school can develop an education programme focusing on renewable energy and combating climate change.

LCG’s purpose is to help the local community to reduce energy costs and become more sustainable by reducing their carbon footprint. More specifically they aim to raise funds to enable people and organisations to install renewable energy systems and use the surplus income to enable work that reduces people’s energy consumption.

They would like to encourage more schools and community buildings in and around North Somerset to get involved, especially organisations with high daytime energy demands – including large commercial buildings such as leisure centres and supermarkets.
