Gloucestershire County Council and the six surrounding District Councils have initiated their own renewable energy grant scheme.

In addition to the existing national government grant scheme for renewable energy, Gloucestershire County Council and the six surrounding District Councils have initiated their own renewable energy grant scheme.

Applicants in the Gloucestershire area can now apply for a £1000 grant for any renewable energy installation including solar hot water and solar PV.

Apparently there is also a steady stream of applicants for the £500 offered by the South Gloucestershire (SG) Futurenergy grants scheme. The SG Futurenergy £3500 renewable energy loan schemeat a fixed 3% has also just been negotiated and secured.
