Air source heat pumps rise in popularity

The combination of cold winter weather and recent increase in RHI support has meant that homeowners are exploring heat pumps as a low cost/efficient method to warm their homes.

The government has significantly increased their Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) support from 7.63p/kWh to 10.18/kWh, returning over 33% more on tariff payments.

This increase in real terms means that the subsidy is in many cases high enough to cover the cost of the installation.
