CLIENT
Due to colossal energy bills, this (unnamed) manufacturing company decided to review their energy options and explore generating their own clean energy on-site. Solarsense were initially invited to tender and were awarded the contract due to their expertise, impressive history and range of technical solutions.
Following an initial audit of the companies energy use, the solar PV design engineers at Solarsense opted for a 250kWp solar PV system with an integrated monitoring platform to allow the company to track their energy savings.
Task
In the event of low generation, the solar PV monitoring system has been designed to inform Solarsense, prompting immediate investigation.
To date the clean energy system is producing 3% above initial forecasts and generated more than 150.5MWh of energy within the first 8 months. The solar PV system is due to payback in year 5 and continue to generate financial savings for a further 20-30 years – a “complete no brainer”.
SERVICES PROVIDED
- Solar PV Panels
- Online Monitoring System
- Display Monitor for reception
FROM THE CLIENT
Solarsense provided clear and informative information throughout. They were competitively priced, helpful and supportive without being pushy. We had nothing but a good experience working with them.
It’s not a gamble. It makes great financial sense. Installing technology that will give you yield for more than 20 years is a sound long term investment. It’s not about being somewhere sunny, it’s based on hours of daylight, based in the NW of England, one of the wettest parts of the UK and payback within 5.5 years, why wouldn’t you do it?
