Project details

Nailsea Methodist Church and Community Centre is a large congregation building situated in North Somerset with a main hall capacity of 400.

The church was awarded Eco Congregation Status in both 2011 and 2014 after installing their first array of solar panels.

Task

As part of its stewardship of the earth’s resources and for a deep concern for those livelihood is threatened by changes in the earth’s climate, Nailsea Methodist Church installed 40 solar panels on its West facing roof in December 2011.

Due to the success of the first installation the Church returned in 2018 to have a further 56 panels installed to further improve their carbon footprint.
