Solarsense client wins sustainability award

We are happy to announce another one of our amazing clients has won an award!

The Jackson Foundation, based in Cornwall is a unique, ambitious and environmentally focused art space. Housed within an ex-industrial building in the centre of St Just-in-Penwith, the Foundation was set up by leading contemporary artist Kurt Jackson and his wife Caroline and hosts an annual programme of quality contemporary exhibitions working in partnership with a variety of environmental and non-profit organisations.

The panel of judges at the Cornwall Sustainability Awards were impressed with the renewable energy technologies installed by Solarsense and noted that ground-source heat pumps, highly efficient solar panels and electric vehicles contributed to the Jackson Foundation’s carbon-positive credentials. This together with the positive knock on impact the Foundation has had on other local businesses in the area, the sympathetic approach to the retro-fit and the build process itself through use of local tradespersons and materials – while preserving the building’s existing structure where possible and improving upon what had perished – all combined to clinch this prestigious accolade.

Huge congratulations to all those involved at the Foundation for a very well deserved win.
