Little Bridge House, Fremington, North Devon
The charity was set up in 1991 to provide hospice care for children with life limiting illnesses, with Little Bridge House, near Barnstaple, opening in 1995. This was followed by Charlton Farm at Wraxall, Bristol in 2007 and Little Harbour at Porthpean, Cornwall, in 2011.
The charity now provides care for 500 families, offering respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care. The care offered at each of the three hospices is not just about medical and nursing support for sick children but enriching lives of the children and their whole family.
Our Support
Solarsense are providing and installing solar panels at Little Bridge House.
Little Bridge House, which opened in 1995, is a beautiful and homely stonebuilt building in North Devon. The house has a number of facilities including cosy lounges, a messy play room for carefree creativity, a multi-sensory room with lights, sounds and textures to soothe and calm and a hydrotherapy pool for relieving stiff joints and muscle spasm.
With a number of energy intensive facilities the newly fitted solar panels will allow the charity to spend less on energy bills and more on caring for those children that need it most.
If you would like to get involved and help towards this great cause all donations will be very gratefully received and can be made either by cheque payable to Solarsense UK Limited or by BACS, Sort Code 30-62-96, Account No. 79860468.
Thank you for your support, we wish you a merry Christmas and a bright and sunny New Year.
