Solarsense Install First Panels with Brand New Solar Installers Cooperative in the Bristol Area!
Solarsense have completed the first solar installations of an innovative scheme in Bristol, as part of the brand new Bristol Area Solar Installers Co-operative (BASIC).
Solarsense were instrumental in forming this cooperative, which is the UK’s first multi-installer company, along with 8 other specialist solar installers in the Greater Bristol area. The aim is to facilitate bidding for large-scale solar projects and multiple installations in the local region, meaning that local jobs are retained and local suppliers and sub-contractors are used wherever possible.
This week Solarsense has completed the first of more than 300 potential solar electric installations as part of BASIC in the Lockleaze area of Bristol, for local energy co-operative Bristol Power CIC. The Lockleaze “Streets of Solar” scheme aims to install over 750 kilowatts of solar PV on homes, schools and community buildings in the coming months and is aiming to roll-out across other areas of Bristol.
These first installations confirm yet another innovative way of working on solar in the Bristol area, and enhance Bristol’s growing reputation as the UK’s Solar City and Green Capital.
The other members of BASIC are the following local companies: 1World Solar, Altereco, Ecocetera, EvoEnergy, R-Eco, Southern Solar, Suka Solar and Your Power.
The team provides a pool of unrivalled experience in renewable energy in the UK with an emphasis on quality as well as efficiency and value.
