Do I need planning permission?
Whilst planning permission for domestic renewable energy installations is not generally required in England or Wales, there are still occasions when either general planning permission or listed building consents must be sought.
We offer a bespoke service in such cases, acting as planning agent for our clients and ensuring that a thoughtful and pragmatic approach is taken to each application.
Permitted Development Rights
Permitted development rights were relaxed for non-domestic installations in April 2012, with some differences between English and Welsh policy. Non-domestic installations of microgeneration technology including Solar PV, Solar Thermal and ground source Heat Pumps generally do not require planning permission in either country.
Conditions and occasions do still exist when permission must be sought and on these occasions our team will guide the client through the due planning process.
The service we provide is turn-key, and runs from initial feasibility and consultation, to drafting of drawings for planning submission and project managing each application.
