Integrating solar PV with electric vehicle charge points

Driving an electric car that is charged by your solar panels is an excellent way to ensure your transportation is both cost-efficient and emissions-free.

Many EV owners think of the purchasing a solar system as pre-buying their fuel for the next few years – at a cost that is very quickly repaid.

With rising energy costs and the ever increasing prices of public charge points, it makes perfect sense to charge your vehicle at home for free. A typical 4kWp residential solar PV system will produce enough energy to power both your home and charge your electric car.

Domestic solar carports

A solar carport is a dual purpose, stand-alone structure that provides shelter for vehicles, whilst generating clean, renewable energy from the sun. This free electricity can then be used to power your home and charge your electric vehicle.

A carport can be designed to seamlessly blend in with the surrounding environment. They can be customised with LED lighting and equipped with gutters to harvest rain water.

Our carport structures are equipped with reinforced concrete support bases as standard; negating the need for expensive foundations. This simplifies the authorization process, reduces the need for foundation work and ensures your carport can be adapted or repositioned in the future.
