Solarsense Projects win Awards
Tuesday December 15, 2009
Solarsense had a successful night at the REGEN SW 2009 Green Energy Awards, held at the Bath Assembly Rooms recently
The Clifton Lido Blue Water Pool won the Best Small Renewable Energy Scheme (under 100kW) for the solar thermal installation undertaken by Solarsense at the refurbished victorian pool complex. Judges were impressed by the vision and leadership shown by owner Arne Ringner, and also by the technical installation by ourselves - one of the largest solar thermal installations in the UK.
The category for Best Renewable Energy Photograph was also won by a photo by Liz Eve of the Clifton Lido solar thermal installation.
Another project we have assisted with finding grant-funds and a solar-PV installation - the Ashley Vale Action Group - won the award for Best Housing Scheme. Congratulations to Jackson Moulding and his team for all their effort, which lead to winning this award.
Finally, we were runners-up in the Installer of the Year award, having impressed the judges with the size and growth of our business, set-against the number of satisfied customers and positive feedback. The judges made special mention of our policy of using a percentage of profits to fund overseas charitable work on solar projects.
We are happy to have made it to the final shortlist on an award that received tha largest number of nominations, and for which competition was very tight indeed. A big thanks to all our staff who made it possible.
